Andrew Motyliwski Obituary, Death – On the 12th of July, 2023, in the 54th year of his life, he passed away unexpectedly in the Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital. Motyliwski was the much-loved son of Hania (Anna), who went by the name Bill, and Wasyl. Distinguished sibling of Dania (Peter) Potoczny. Zorianna’s much-loved uncle also serves as her Godfather.
Andrew served with distinction in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 35 years and later went on to become a secondary school teacher for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, where he taught students robotics and computer science. Andrew was an active member of the Ukrainian Youth Association (CYM), of which he had been a member for a significant amount of time. Andrew was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage.
His students, coworkers, friends, and family will miss him very much. He will not be forgotten. On Sunday, July 16, 2023, friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, located at 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy 10 North of Q.E.W), from 3 to 8 p.m. Panachyda prayers will be held at 7 p.m. On Monday, July 17, 2023 at ten in the morning, Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, which is located at 3625 Cawthra Road.
St. John’s Dixie Cemetery was chosen as the last resting place. Andrew held a deep and abiding affection for this organization.
