Andrew Nicholson Death, Obituary – The news of Andrew Nicholson’s passing has left us in a state of profound sadness, and we would like to extend our sympathies to his family during this difficult time. When Andrew was a child, he considered Pontardawe to be his home. Later on in his life, he moved away, but he finally returned to that location to raise his family there with his wife, Sue Northcott, and his daughters, Cari and Geraint.
Cari had just recently given him his granddaughter, Cadi Wen, whom she had named for him and presented to him as a gift. Andrew was quite kind to all around him in Pontardawe during the period that he resided there, sharing both his sense of humor and, perhaps more importantly, his feeling of duty.
At his place of employment, he was an officer of the trade union, and in Pontardawe, he was a member of the Pontardawe Town Council. In addition, he was a member of the Pontardawe Town Council. During the time that he was serving on the Pontardawe Council, he and Sue were in a situation that was one of a kind for them: throughout the two years that Sue was Town Mayor, Andrew was her consort.
During that time, he was also serving on the Pontardawe Council. Both of them went through the same thing at the same time. She made it a point to repay Andrew’s kindness whenever it was within her power to do so throughout his two years in office as mayor. They are the only couple in all of history to have both been honored with the right to wear the Mayoral Chain.
Even though Andrew had been dealing with his health for a number of years, the news of his dying came as a shock to everyone, most especially to those who loved him and whom he loved in return. The members of the Cilybebyll Community Council would like to express their sincerest condolences to Andrew’s family during this difficult time.
