Ann Neander Death, Obituary – Emily Ann Neander, age 5, and her father Arthur “AJ” Neander, her great-uncle Dale Donato, and Rebecca Monterosso, who was precious to Emily, all perished in a sad accident on July 8, 2023. Rebecca Monterosso was also there. Emily’s mother, Michelle Thorne, is the only person who will remember her. Emily was a bright light who could be both kind and irreverent, and she was cherished by everyone in the neighborhood. She was constantly welcoming visitors and offering assistance around the farm since she like being outside. Everyone will remember and cherish Emily for the rest of their lives.
Emily is survived by her brother, Anthony Thorne, as well as her aunts and uncles, Adam Neander, Amanda Neander (Justin Porter), and Heather Harrigan (Josh). Her mother is also among those who have been left behind after her passing. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Karen and John Thorne, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
At New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd. in Colonie, there will be a wake on Monday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for those who wish to pay their respects. A liturgy at the gravesite will afterwards take place in the St. Agnes Cemetery.
