Arven Smith Obituary, Death – We are in a condition of profound sadness due to our friend and coworker Arven Smith’s unexpected passing, which has left us in a state of bereavement. Arven was well recognized for his remarkable commitment to CHS, where he worked for a very long time and built a successful career. In 1975, the year he graduated from high school, he went straight into the elevator business as soon as he could find a job.
In May of 2011, he made the transition from working in the field, where he had been employed for the previous 48 years, to CHS. While he was employed by us as a bespoke applicator and truck driver, he discovered that engaging with all of the producers was a really satisfying experience. He found this to be the case for both of these roles. As a result of the length of time he had spent in the area, he was acquainted with everyone there and sincerely hoped for everyone’s success.
He was the first person to provide assistance whenever it was required, and he took a lot of pride in the fact that he was able to assist other people in their time of need. Working with members of his family at CHS, such as Chris, Mark, and Lisa, was something that he regarded as an honor and opportunity for him. They have a great deal of pride in the job that Arven did, in what they were all able to do together, and in the family that they were able to create there. That view is held by everyone who works in Elkton,
and everyone there has the same perspective on the matter. Everyone who worked with Arven or had the chance to meet Arven can consider themselves exceedingly fortunate to be able to call him a friend and a colleague because of their time spent with him. Everyone who had the honor of being able to call Arven a friend will feel a deep sense of loss at the news of his passing since he was such a great and remarkable human being.
On Saturday, July 15, beginning at 2:00 p.m., there will be a get-together held at the property that is owned by Arven and Carol in order to celebrate life. Please bring your own chair and a beverage of your own if you would want to take part in the discussion on past experiences. Thank you.
