Asher Melton Obituary, Funeral Notice- Asher Timothy Roger Melton, a beloved two-year-old from Mayfield, Kentucky, tragically passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. Born on March 31, 2021, in Paducah, Kentucky, Asher brought immense joy to his parents, Thomas and Arianna Kingery Melton, who cherished every moment with their happy and mischievous little boy.
Asher’s name, meaning “Happy,” perfectly encapsulated his nature as he lived each day to the fullest. He possessed an incredible affectionate nature and had a knack for getting into playful mischief. One of his favorite things to do was snuggle up with anyone who would hold him close. His big sister, Arya, was his best friend in the entire world, and Asher took great pride in being the world’s best little brother.
A particular Disney movie, Moana, held a special place in Asher’s heart. He loved watching it, and wherever he went, he would carry his beloved blanket, which earned him the nickname “Linus” after the character from the Peanuts comic strip. This cherished blanket provided him comfort and security throughout his too-short life.
Asher leaves behind a grieving family, including his parents, Thomas and Arianna Kingery Melton, his sister Arya Melton, and his baby brother Elijah Melton. He is also survived by his grandmother, Vicki Kingery, and his grandparents, Christopher and April Melton. Additionally, Asher is remembered fondly by several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him deeply.
The loss of Asher’s grandfather, Timothy Kingery, preceded his passing, adding to the family’s sorrow during this difficult time. In remembrance of Asher, a funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on the same day at the funeral home.
