Author Lawrence A. Pryor Death, Obituary – Author Lawrence A. Pryor as a person. Died 7/13/23 We had to say goodbye to Dad today. He passed away peacefully without experiencing any discomfort or agony with his mother by his side. His discomfort, which he had been experiencing for a number of years as a result of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, has now subsided, and he can now sleep undisturbed.
The better part of half a century was spent with Dad spending the majority of his career as a journalist at the very pinnacle of his profession. Dad was a humble, interesting, and kind man. He was an environmental journalist who worked for the Los Angeles Times as the Metro and National editor and was an early pioneer and leader in the field of electronic journalism.
He has earned accolades for his writing in the subject. Dad was able to round up his career as a writer by working at USC, a place he cherished immensely and where he was able to pass on his skills to a large number of colleagues. Dad died away when he was wearing his beloved Pan Am Clipper Hawaiian shirt.
This was a garment that he had worn all over the world, from cocktail parties in Hawaii to safaris in Kenya, and it was one of his favorites. He is going to start working on another narrative right now. This day saw The Chior Invisible expand their ranks with the addition of a rather good Tenor.
They won’t be able to give it a try till their mother has the authentic ringer in her possession. I just really hope that the administration of his Eternal Resting Place is prepared for a reporter who won’t take any crap and will make sure that the story is factual and that people are treated nicely.
I really do hope that they are prepared for this reporter. Please understand that we adore you, Dad. Have a peaceful rest.
