Bernard Bowman, who had served as Keeper of the Wren from 1985 to 2018, fell dead suddenly on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
He had held this position since 1985. Since 1985, he had served in this capacity continuously. Since 1985, he had been consistently serving in this position ever since. When he passed away at the age of 89, he had lived a complete life’s worth and had attained his full life expectancy at the time of his passing. It is impossible to put into words the extent of this man’s effect on the individuals whose lives he touched through the numerous ways in which he was involved in those lives.
The people whose lives he affected have found it difficult to put into words the enormity of this man’s influence. The life paths of these individuals were forever changed as a direct result of the actions of a single guy. It is abundantly evident by taking a look at this picture that Bernard never hesitated to strike a pose for me whenever I requested that he do so, as is demonstrated by the fact that he did so in this particular instance. This is a feature of the picture that conveys a lot of information. I was getting ready to photograph a wedding that was going to take place in the Wren,
and he was gracious enough to allow me check out the lighting there before the bride came. In this particular occasion, I was getting ready to take pictures of the ceremony. Because of his kindness, I felt a deep sense of gratitude toward him. Regarding this undertaking, I am really grateful to him for the assistance that he has supplied me with.
