Cornelia Williams Obituary, Death – At the age of 91, Murrell Millner Williams, who resided in Appomattox, Virginia, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. For the better part of seventy-two years, she was Jack Hunter Williams, Sr.’s devoted and loving wife. She was the daughter of Jessie Gordon Millner and Martha Virginia Burks Millner, both of whom have passed away, and she was born in Bedford on April 3, 1932.
She had a passion for flora, was well-known for her ability to grow plants, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by two children, Dianne W. Braford and husband, Jimmy, and Jack H. Williams, Jr. and wife, Terry; six grandchildren, Amy Peterson, Whitney Braford, Jessica O’Brien, Wyatt Williams, Aaron Turner, and Cole Williams; 10 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Josh, and Braxton Peterson, Caden Braford Gabrian Palacios, Ace and Madison O’Brien, and Denali, Kayson, and Evinleigh Williams; and two brothers, Orie Millner, and Russell Millner.
Her four brothers, Jessie Millner Jr., Glenn Millner, and Ronald Millner, as well as her sister Marye Snow, passed away before her. For all of the love and care that they showed Murrell and her family, Murrell’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Patricia Harden, Tomika and Mercedes Wright, Rose Wheeler, Sally Edwards, and especially Tomika Wright.
On Monday, July 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM, a funeral service will be place at Robinson Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. Rusty Small will preside over the ceremony. After the service, burial will take place at Liberty Cemetery.
