Curtis Waters Obituary, Death – Curtis Oliver Waters, Sr., a beloved individual with a unique sense of humor, passed away on July 10, 2023, at the age of 58. Born on August 28, 1964, in Lake City, Florida, Curtis was known for his ability to find joy in the simplest of things, brightening even the dullest of days. His infectious laughter and lightheartedness left a lasting impact on those around him.
Curtis had a deep appreciation for the small pleasures in life. Spending time with his dogs brought him great happiness, and he took delight in mowing the lawn on sunny afternoons. One of his favorite pastimes was picking corn in his backyard, finding solace and contentment in the seemingly mundane activity. As a family man, Curtis’s love for his friends and relatives knew no bounds. He held a special place in his heart for his loved ones and consistently went above and beyond to ensure their happiness. Curtis is preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Douglass Little, and his son, Curtis Oliver Waters, Jr. Their absence left a void in his heart, but he carried their memory with him.
He is survived by his son, Robert Waters-Ostrander, who will continue to carry on Curtis’s legacy. Additionally, his father, Robert Waters, and stepmother, Patricia Waters, remain to honor his memory. Curtis is also survived by his brothers, Robert “Bobby” Waters Jr. and Dennis Waters, who shared a deep bond with him. His three grandchildren will forever hold cherished memories of their grandfather. In addition, Curtis leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom were touched by his presence.
To pay tribute to Curtis’s life and celebrate his memory, a graveside service will be held on July 14, 2023, at Oak Grove Cemetery, commencing at 10:00 am. The service will provide an opportunity for friends, family, and loved ones to come together, sharing stories and reminiscing about the joy Curtis brought into their lives.
