Danny Moseley Obituary, Death – On July 10, 2023, at the age of 68, Danny Moseley, who had spent his whole life in the town of Magee, Mississippi, passed away in a calm and tranquil environment surrounded by his family. On September 19, 1954, in the town of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Danny Ray Moseley was born to his parents, Ray and Mick Moseley. It was in 1972 when he received his diploma from Vancleave High School. He completed his education at Copiah Lincoln Community College and received his degree.
Danny was a high-level executive at an insurance company and a real estate developer. Danny held a deep and abiding affection for the residents of his home county. He was involved in a wide variety of commercial and economic development projects and activities. Insurance Associates was established in 1977 by him and David Keyes, his business partner at the time. They worked well together and were able to establish a prosperous insurance agency as well as a real estate development company.
Danny held leadership positions in a wide variety of organizations serving both the community and the industry. He was a member of the Simpson County Economic Development board for a total of twenty years and served as president on two separate occasions. He held the presidency of both the Magee Lions Club and the Magee Chamber of Commerce during his time in Magee. Both the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi and the Charter Health Trust Board of Magee General Hospital were under his leadership throughout his time in public service. The position he held at People’s Bank that he left most recently was Chairman of the Board.
Danny is survived by his mother, Mick Moseley; his daughter, Charity Wallace (Steven); his son, Ashley Moseley (Devin); his daughter, Melanie Rankin (Steven); his grandchildren, Reagan Wallace, Avery Rankin, Reese Moseley, Ella Rankin, Maddie Moseley, Wilkes Wallace, and Beck Rankin; the devoted mother of his children, Belinda Moseley; his siblings, Donny Moseley (Sue), Ray Moseley, Danny’s father, and Pat Stephens, Danny’s sister, both passed away before Danny did. Visitation will be held on the evening of Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Magee, and interment will take place in the Magee City Cemetery immediately after the services.
