David R. Grill Obituary, of Wernersville, Pennsylvania David R. Grill Has Died At Age 71

David R. Grill Death, Obituary – David R. Grill, age 71, a resident of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, while receiving medical treatment at Reading Hospital. He was a devoted husband of Rosemary K. (Deissler), whom he wed on September 5, 1987. They had two children together. David Grill received his high school diploma from Reading High School in 1970. David was born in Reading to the late Paul H. Grill and Mary E. (Klopp) Grill. He worked as an Electrical Designer with Gilbert Associates, which is now known as WorleyParsons, for the most of his 41-year professional life.

David was given a guitar for Christmas in 1965, and as he had a great sense of pitch, he was able to teach himself to play the instrument by listening to music. It was almost entrancing to hear him play his 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, and he had an incredible singing voice. David is a musician who has been inducted into the Berks County Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During his career, he has performed with bands such as EMAK, Wells Fargo, and Number Nine (a band that pays tribute to the Beatles).

David also had a deep appreciation for the experience of exploring new places, in addition to his love of music. It was very fun for him and Rosemary to travel to places like Cape May and Atlantic City, as well as other countries, like Italy. Rosemary, David’s wife, holds the memory of her late husband in high regard. Through the years, he has shown his affection for all of his furbabies, including Loki, their current cat.

In addition, David is survived by his sister, Judy Marsden (Joe), who lives in Sinking Spring; his nephew, Steven Marsden, who also lives in Sinking Spring; his aunt, Joanne Grill, who lives in West Reading; and his cousin, Steve Grill (Maria), who lives in Shillington.

The funeral for David will be a private affair. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org in his honour. The arrangements have been committed to the care of Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc.
