Dennis Nace Obituary, Death – On July 10, 2023, Dennis L. Nace, 54 years old, a resident of Loganville, Georgia, went dead suddenly. He was the devoted husband of Jennifer (Waltersdorff) Nace, to whom he had been married for 29 years. He was also the proud father of two boys, Matthew J. Nace and Ethan P. Nace, and he was looking forward to completing his family with the addition of a daughter, Erica Schweitzer, at the wedding of Matthew and her later this year. He was the son of Richard and Annabelle Nace, who both passed away, and was born in York.
Dennis was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion Post 605 in Dallastown. Dennis was an extremely involved member of his community. He has been a member of the Loganville Fire Company for the past 29 years, during which time he has held the positions of line officer and presently holds the position of Treasurer. He had previously served as a volunteer with the Rose Fire Company in New Freedom. Dennis was a member of the Boy Scouts and held a variety of leadership positions within the organization.
His two kids were also members of Troop 69 in Jacobus and received their Eagle Scout ranks there. For the past 27 years, he has been employed with PHEAA in the capacity of systems architect. Dennis also leaves behind his brothers Gregory Nace and Kevin (Kim) Nace, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gregory and Kevin were both named Kevin.
On Thursday, July 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be a viewing held at Hartenstein’s Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., located at 24 North Second Street in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 14, prior to the memorial service which will begin at 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church located at 74 East Forrest Avenue in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania.
