Donald C. Goffin Death, Obituary – The passing of Donald Goffin, a well-liked member of the Committee for a number of years and the winner of our Golden Goal competition, was news that the Club received with a great lot of regret and sadness. Our deepest condolences go out to his devoted wife Chriss, as well as to his proud and devoted children Adam and Susie, and to the rest of the family.The phrase “Don Goffin” Donald C. Goffin, age 66, of Nekoosa, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at his residence. He was a resident of Nekoosa.
Funeral services are scheduled to take place at the Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Timothy Miller will preside over the ceremony. Coloma’s Prince of Peace Cemetery will be the location of the interment. The funeral home will be open for visitation on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:30 AM and continuing until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
Don Goffin’s birthday is April 30th, 1952, and he was born in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to parents named David and Olga (Geringer) Goffin. His previous place of employment was at Lincoln Tube in Blue Island, Illinois, where he worked as a machine operator. Don enjoyed doing auto body repair, riding motorcycles, and working on hot rods in his spare time.
In addition to that, he enjoyed working with wood and baking. Aside from that, he found that being outside and watching people, singing around the house to Big Band music, and spending time with his pets Piper and Katie were all things that brought him joy.
He is survived by his six children Christopher Goffin, Donald Goffin (Krystal), Amanda (Heath Schinke) Newlun, Daniel J. Goffin, Amy (Chad) Heins, and David Goffin; 12 grandchildren; his brother Daniel (Sue) Goffin; his sister Kim Peacock; his sister in law Diane Goffin Gavvilet; as well as his former spouse Kathy Goffin and former son in law Barry Newlun.
