Officers from the Springfield Police Department responded to the vicinity of 24th highway and Allison Court in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 8, after getting a complaint of a guy who had been shot and was lying in the roadway. The report indicated that the individual was lying in the roadway.
According to the report, the shooting occurred at the victim’s location at roughly 5:30 in the morning. At the scene, they discovered Emmanuel Boston, who was 34 years old, and they took him to HSHS St. John’s Hospital, but he passed dead at 6:29 in the morning there.
