Eoin Gordon Obituary, Death – are heartbroken to notify you of the passing of our great colleague Bud Rosenfield, who had served for a number of years as the Minnesota Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. The Minnesota Council on Disability is sorry to be the one to deliver this news to you. This information is being relayed to you with the deepest sense of regret on our part. We apologize for the inconvenience. Bud was a fascinating person in his own right, in addition to being a dedicated and compassionate Ombudsman for the community. He was a contributor of significant value to the community of people who live with disabilities, where he was a member and active participant.
People who talked to Bud were aware that he paid attention to what they said and was concerned about what they said. This was clear to anybody who had conversations with Bud. He was willing to take action in order to help other people, regardless of the circumstances that surrounded the situation. This was the impetus behind all of his actions. Bud was the kind of man who always put others’ happiness and the cause of doing what is right in the world ahead of his own, and he took these responsibilities very seriously.
Because of the shocking nature of this information, we are currently experiencing a situation of severe depression. Our deepest condolences go out to Bud’s family, as well as to all of his coworkers at the Minnesota Office of the Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, where he served during the entirety of his career. The loss is devastating, but may the knowledge that there are still decent people in the world provide each and every one of us with some measure of solace in our time of need. Rest in Power, Bud. You are the focus of all of our love, respect, and admiration for one another.
