Erick Farley Obituary, Death – On January 31, 1964, Erick DeLayne Farley was born to Joe L. and Judy Lea (Austin) Farley in Shawnee, Oklahoma. On Sunday, July 9, 2023, he died away in his recliner at the Hospice House in Oklahoma City with his wife of 40 years, three children, parents, and dog Jake by his side. He was 59. Erick is a high-school alumnus of El Reno. On May 6, 1983, at Coleman Chapel Church in Calumet, he wed the love of his life, Danna Bailey. He started out at Hal-Malone Ford, then worked at Frontier Chevrolet, and finally settled in at Carter Chevrolet, where he is now the Service Manager and a GM-certified mechanic.
The family farm was also under his care. The definition of “Mr. Fix It,” he worked nonstop. His art was of the highest quality, and his mind was as sharp. Parts would often be rebuilt by Erick instead of being ordered new. As a mechanic, he excelled. He programmed a wire harness and showed his kids how to put it together. He crisscrossed the country putting them back together and fixing them up aboard Navy Black Ops Trucks. The trucks can now operate on jet fuel, which he also discovered. In his field, he excelled above all others. Even though he had to go to work so Danna could remain home with the kids, he never missed a single one of their events.
He saw to it that they were all well-educated and provided for at all times. For the sake of his loved ones, he would do anything. The Coleman Chapel Church was his spiritual home. His parents, Joe and Jesse Farley, his grandparents, Joe and Jesse Farley, Solomon “Pone” and Vera Ned, Robert and Ruth Austin, his father-in-law, Frank Bailey, and his brother-in-law, Bryan Bailey, all predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, Danna Jeanette Farley, of the home in Calumet, OK; their twin daughters, DeLayna Jeanette Woodis and husband Mark of Cordell and Cristina Lea Maas
