Garth Riley Death, Obituary – Yesterday, the world lost a person who was genuinely extraordinary and one of a kind. It’s hard for me to imagine ever being able to articulate my feelings for my dad in a way that does him credit with the words I choose to use. He was a man who seemed larger than life, and he left a favorable impression on each and every individual who had the opportunity to cross paths with him.
The fact that I could name him my dad was without a doubt the happiest moment of my life. With a heart that huge, he was able to make an impact on the lives of thousands of people over his lifetime. A voice so powerful that he never failed to cheer for the underdog. And a smile that was so radiant and infectious that even on the days when I was being the most recalcitrant, he was able to coax a grin out of me.
Because he was BORN to be someone who others can look up to, it makes sense why God designed him to be so huge. He was BORN to be someone who others can look up to. (6’6) My biggest inspiration, my biggest cheerleader and my best buddy. This was meant to represent a bump in the road, but now that I’m looking at it from a different angle, I see that the road just appears different than I had originally imagined it would.

A person who speaks in public. A famous face from television. A Mentor. One who fights. One who writes. To mention only a handful.
