Geri Meehan Death, Obituary – My older sister, Geri Meehan, died away peacefully while she was sleeping at 12:50 this morning. She did not experience any pain or discomfort prior to her passing. When she passed away, she was 45 years old and left behind a young family. It is with a very heavy heart that I must inform you all of the passing of my older sister, Geri Meehan, and I apologize in advance for any hardship this may cause you. The tragic truth is that in spite of everything that she had been through over the past two years, her illness took a very unexpected turn yesterday morning, and her body was not able to take the suffering any longer. Because of this, she passed away. She was taken from us. Many of her family members and friends are aware that she has struggled with the effects of her hereditary homocystinuria for the remainder of her life.
Hereditary homocystinuria is an extremely unusual ailment. Homocystinuria is a disorder that occurs only very infrequently. When she finally passed away, a sizeable portion of those individuals were there to pay their respects. Geri was one tough cookie, that much is obvious, and I am unable to properly explain how tremendously proud I am of her because she fought until the very last possible second.

Remember to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, especially her husband Robert, as today commemorates what would have been their sixth wedding anniversary had they tied the knot six years ago.
