Gladys Dorothy Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we at Western Studios of Dance & Performing Arts (WSPA) in Nyngan and Tottenham share the news of the passing of our beloved Glad. Glad was not just a dancer with our Senior Tappers for many years, but she was also a cherished member of our community. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and love for Nyngan were evident in her involvement with numerous organizations and her unwavering support for local initiatives.
Glad’s impact on our dance studio and the children she worked with cannot be overstated. She had a special way of connecting with each child, offering words of encouragement and comfort before they took the stage. Her nurturing presence and ability to ease their pre-performance nerves were invaluable. When the dancers returned backstage, Glad was always there, ready to celebrate their accomplishments with high fives and words of praise. She truly was a pillar of support for the young performers at WSPA.
Katie White, one of our dancers, aptly described Glad as Nyngan’s best supporter and mascot. Her dedication extended beyond the dance studio, as she involved herself in various community projects and organizations. Glad’s contributions to Nyngan were numerous, and her absence will undoubtedly be felt deeply by those who knew and loved her.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Glad as part of our dance family and community. Her warmth, kindness, and beautiful spirit enriched the lives of everyone she touched. We can only imagine the joyous reunion that is taking place as she taps her way into the hearts of Kath and Phyllis in the great beyond.
As we mourn the loss of our dear Glad, we find solace in the memories we shared and the lasting impact she made. Her legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry on the work she was so passionate about.
