Holly Denson Obituary, Funeral Details – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Holly Denise Denson, aged 47, on July 10, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital. Holly, a resident of Eden, leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy that will be fondly remembered by her loved ones. A memorial service has been scheduled to honor her life on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 3 pm. The service will take place at Holly Hills Christian Church, a place of significance to Holly.
Holly was born on September 18, 1975, in Galax, VA, the beloved daughter of Charles Wesley Denson and Brenda Ward Denson. She dedicated her career to working as a security guard for Allied Universal Security, where she demonstrated her commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others.
Left to mourn her loss is her daughter, Paige Denson, and her fiancé, Charles Sutherland, both of Eden. Holly also leaves behind her mother, Brenda Ward Denson, who will undoubtedly treasure the memories they shared. In addition, she is survived by her siblings: Rachael Goins and her husband, James, of Eden; Martha Miller and her husband, Harry, of Bassett, VA; and Timothy Kinsey and his wife, Cissy, of Stoneville. Holly’s presence will be greatly missed by her several nieces and nephews.
Holly was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wesley Denson, whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. To offer support and share condolences, friends and family are invited to visit Holly Hills Christian Church on the evening of Friday, July 14, 2023, between 6 and 8 pm. The church will provide a comforting space for loved ones to come together and honor Holly’s life. Alternatively, visits can be made to the residence of her mother, Brenda Denson, during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Holly Hills Christian Church in Eden. By directing memorials to the church, Holly’s memory can be honored while also supporting the community that meant so much to her.
