Jack Stack Pool Shooting – In a distressing incident, two women were shot in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood following a dispute among youths at the Jack Stack pool. The altercation escalated and spilled out into the streets on Wednesday night, according to the city’s police chief. The victims, both in their 30s, were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police Chief Scirotto revealed that three adults were involved in the shooting, with no children being implicated.
Responding to a ShotSpotter alert indicating ten rounds fired, officers swiftly arrived at the 600 block of Brighton Woods Road just before 7:45 p.m. Subsequently, a man in his 20s surrendered and is now in custody. Authorities believe that he was the sole individual who discharged a firearm during the incident.
