Both members of the Bramwell Volunteer Fire Department are now recovering from their injuries.
Both of the injured males were sent to other hospitals in the vicinity for treatment. According to a statement that was made public by the Bramwell Volunteer Fire Department, James Cleary Jr. lost his battle with his injuries overnight while being treated at a hospital in Charleston. After some time, James Cleary Sr. was arrested and taken from the hospital.

On Saturday, July 15, from one to three o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services for James “Spot” Cleary Jr. will be place at the Craven-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. According to a statement that was released by the fire department, all first responders are encouraged to attend the event and bring an apparatus with them.
On Saturday, beginning at noon, there will be a bake sale in Bluewell, directly across the street from the Family Dollar shop. The family will receive the entirety of the money.
