James Duffey Death, Obituary – This morning, my brother James Duffey died away in a calm and serene manner. James Ralph Duffey. On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at the age of 74, James Ralph Duffey died away peacefully at the Alden Estates residential center in Jefferson, Wisconsin. He was surrounded by his family and his cherished daughter Kelly at the time of his passing.
Jim attended Barneveld Public High School and received his diploma in 1967. He spent eight years in the military, four of which were spent serving in the Air Force as a Jet Maintenance Specialist at various sites in the United States and across the world. James’ kind and welcoming remarks, along with his infectious smile and laughter, enabled him to get along well with everyone he came in contact with, and he will be sorely missed. Jim was loved and respected by many people for his roles as a parent, husband, brother, and friend.
His parents, Ralph and Lorene Duffey, as well as his sister, Karen (Kirch) Duffey, and his brother, Robert Duffey, all passed away before he did. His wife Diane, his daughter Kelly (Swope), his grandson Kaandrae (Brisco), his sisters Bonnie (Wayne) Kuenzi and Debra (Randy) Dunn, his brother Gregory (Shirley), and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends survive him.
