The service will take place at the home of Wendy and Gerry Marks, located at 45 Seven Oaks Circle, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Shiva is a period of mourning in the Jewish tradition, during which family and friends gather to offer condolences and support to the bereaved.
During this difficult time, it is customary to offer words of comfort and express condolences to the mourning family. The Hebrew phrase “Hamakom Yinachem etchem b’toch sha’ar avelei tzion v’Yerushalayim” is often said to console the mourners. It translates to “May God comfort the mourners together with all mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.” It is a way of expressing solidarity and empathy with those who have lost a loved one.
As family, friends, and the community come together to remember Jay Teitelbaum, may their shared memories bring comfort and solace. May they find strength in the support of one another and may Jay’s legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.
