Jenni Canestrari Death, Obituary – The time at which I am currently writing this could be regarded as either late or early, depending on the perspective from which one examines the situation. Because the passing of my younger sister Jenni Canestrari’s husband came so suddenly this afternoon and evening, I would be grateful if you could keep her in your prayers.
Please keep in mind that the circumstances surrounding his death were completely unexpected. There is no question in anyone’s mind that she and the children could put any of these to good use. The city of Newport News in Virginia Location: Jennie Canestrari passed away on January 25, 2007, after a courageous fight against cancer.
She was born in New London on August 13, 1912, and both her daughter Jean Kolb and her husband Robert E. Canestrari Sr. passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her family. Together with her husband, she ran a successful men’s clothing store in Niantic for a number of years. The store was located on Main Street.
Her daughter-in-law, Sally B. Canestrari, and her son, Robert E. Canestrari Jr., are the only members of her family to have survived her passing. Her son is also named Robert E. Canestrari. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, whose names are Karen Greene, Lisa Gaetano, Linda Tanner, Susan Hepler, and Julia Canestrari-Wallace.
All of these women were born after she passed away. Her lineage also includes descendants named Robert David Canestrari. She is survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and everyone in the family and the community will miss having her around.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 29, 2007, at twelve o’clock noon, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, which can be found at 48 Grand Street in Niantic. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the burial will take place at the Jordan Cemetery in Waterford.
