Jose Ismael Chavez Death, Obituary – The death of Jose Ismael Chavez R. took place on Friday, August 12, 2016, when he was 33 years old. He had been serving the Village of Hatch, New Mexico, for the last two years when he passed away while still on the job. Maria Ramirez and Jose Chavez welcomed their son Ismael into the world on December 17, 1982 in the city of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Ismael recently finished up his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice at New Mexico State University (NMSU), where he was also working toward his Bachelor’s degree. Ismael was a man of many skills because he had a passion for education and was insatiably interested about the inner workings of things. He was a man of many qualities: intelligence, ambition, work ethic, and a love of having fun.
His work was his passion, and he took the responsibility of safeguarding the community very seriously. He was known to be a gentle and patient man who put his family before of anything else in his life. Ismael never gave up; he always looked on the bright side of any circumstance he was in. He was remarkable in every role that he played, including that of father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Ismael is survived by his mother Maria Ramirez and his father Jose Chavez, as well as his children Janiley and Aryam Chavez, his sisters Patricia Ramirez and Lupita Chavez, as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends. The funeral procession for Officer Chavez will begin in Hatch and end at the Pan American Centre located at 1810 E. University Ave. for the funeral service that is set to begin at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, August 21, 2015.
