Judith Elizabeth Brown Death, Obituary – Ms. Jacquelyn Elizabeth “Liz” Brown, age 60, formerly of Mullins and now residing in Columbia, passed away in a calm and serene manner on the evening of July 14, 2023, at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Liz was the daughter of the late Hamilton Dan Brown and the late Hazel Martin Brown. She was born on November 9, 1962 in Mullins, South Carolina.

Her parents both passed away before she was born. Liz was raised and received her education in the Mullins community throughout her childhood. She participated in the Goodwill Sunday School Class at the Mullins First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the church. She donated her time to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department as a volunteer. Liz was an active participant in the activities of the ACOA Club in Columbia. She had a strong background in Karate and was considered a skilled martial artist. Painting and fishing were two of Liz’s favorite hobbies. She cherished her friends and neighbors just as much as she cherished her own family.

Ms. Brown is survived by her cherished son, Zach Brown, of Elgin; her siblings, Danny Brown and his wife Beth of Greenville, Tennessee, Sherrie Jordan and her husband Terry of Mullins, and Mike Brown and his wife Trisha of Mullins; a step-sister, Lea Ronald and her husband Mike of Napa, California; her step-mother, Carolyn Brown of Mullins; several cousins; and many close, precious friends she had made over the years.

In the Chapel of the Cox-Collins Funeral Home in Mullins, friends and well-wishers are cordially invited to pay their respects to the family on Monday morning, July 17, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
