Kevin Mccluskey Death, Obituary – On Saturday, July 27, 2019, Kevin L. McCluskey, 62 years old, a resident of Hillpoint, passed away suddenly at his home due to an unforeseen illness. On October 18, 1956, he was welcomed into the world as the son of Clarence and Agnes (Hess) McCluskey. Kevin had always worked the land as a farmer, and he had a kind spirit. He always made time for others, was willing to provide a hand to anybody in need, and he cherished the time he spent with his family, his friends, and his dogs.
He was a donor of 21 gallons of blood to the Red Cross and had a very special place in the hearts of all of his nieces and nephews. He was a supporter of the ARC Sauk County. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and was also responsible for tolling the church bell at funerals. He was a previous member of the Degree Team for the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal organization that he belonged to.
It was well known that he grew flowers and gave them away, that he remembered everyone’s birthdays and other important occasions, and that he always wore his signature red crocs. He was never in a rush and was always eager to spend time with people. He was godfather to numerous members of his family as well as several of his acquaintances.
Surviving family members include seven siblings, including Marty of Plain, Sheila (Pat) Drea of Plain, Shane (Maggie) of Lime Ridge, Kathy (Steve) Olson of Middleton, Patrick (Mary Ellen) of Hillpoint, Brian of Hillpoint, and Rory (Rowena) of Hillpoint; and twelve nieces and nephews, including Stacy McCluskey, Brady McCluskey, Cody (Amanda) McCluskey, Jim (Stephan
His parents, Clarence McCluskey and Agnes McCluskey, had passed away before he was born. At St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Loreto Ridge, there will be a celebration of the Christian burial rites on the morning of Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. On Friday, August 2, 2019, a visitation will be held in the church from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and a rosary will be recited at 4:30 P.M. in advance of the visitation.
Additionally, visitation will be place on Saturday at the church beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until 10:30 AM, the time of the Mass.
