Kirby Alumni Obituary – We have suffered the loss of a Kirby Alumni. Life is simply too brief, and sure, that is true; in fact, it was validated by the fact that her Mother said it. The Kirby High Alumni Family and the Kirby High Class of 2006 are deeply shocked, upset, and crushed by the passing of my much loved friend and fellow high school classmate Jasmine Kimble.
The transformation of Jasmine has been completed, and she passed away the day before yesterday. Together, Jasmine and I attended Kirby High School and graduated in the year 2006. Since I was in the 11th grade, Jasmine and I have been friends. After our high school days were done, we kept in touch with each other through communicating and chatting on MySpace.
We also completed our driver’s education requirements, walked across the stage to receive our high school diplomas, and took driver’s education classes. Back in 2011 or 2012, I went to her Church for a service. Since I had not heard from her in a very long time, I assumed that she was leading a happy life away from any forms of social media.
In 2017, she received her Juris Doctorate degree from the Southern University Law School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is now practicing law. Why, Jasmine, did you have to leave so quickly? To her mother, Mrs. Pamela Kimble, I know you and your family are going through some terrible times as a result of the passing of Jasmine, but please know that my thoughts, prayers, and my sincere condolences are with you and your family as you go through this difficult and unprecedented time.
Rest in Paradise Jasmine! you’ve left us far too young, but you’ve earned your wings, you’re going to be with the Lord, and you’ve been reunited in heaven with your brother and your father. I, along with the rest of the Kirby High Alumni Family and the Class of 2006 Family, am going to miss you tremendously, and you will never be forgotten about.
Fly high, Jasmine Kimble, and have a good rest before we see each other again! Tracy Young, also known as “Tracy-T”
