Leroy Hall Obituary, Death – Tuesday was a calm day at home for Leroy A. Hall, Sr., who passed away while his family was there to surround him. He was born in Rock Creek, Maryland, and his parents, the late George A. Hall and Kathleen S. Hall, were both deceased when he was born there. Leroy continued his education in Baltimore throughout the Great Depression, first at Princess Anne Elementary School and subsequently at Poly Tech High School. Both of these institutions were located in Baltimore. He went back to complete his high school education at Washington High School in Princess Anne, Maryland.

The year 1947 marked the beginning of Leroy’s academic career at Salisbury State Teacher’s College. Leroy was a member of the Salisbury Moose Lodge #654 in addition to St. Peter’s United Methodist Church and the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Ambassador Club, Scimeter Club, and Honorary Member of the “First Hundred Club” of the Baltimore Boumi Temple. In addition to that, he was a Freemason who belonged to the Buomi Shrine, the Chester River Shrine Club,

the Baltimore Scottish Rite, the Salisbury Scottish Rite, and the Howard Lodge #101 in Elkridge, Maryland. He had been a part of the lodge for the last half century as a member. His children, son Andy Hall and his wife Joanne, daughter Debbie Kenney and her husband Howard, son Sammy Hall and his wife Susan, daughter Marion Wall (Bob Hermann), and son Larry Carter and his wife Jean are among those who carry on his legacy. In addition to his children and grandchildren, he is survived by his sister Patricia Hall Laird, his brother George S. Hall, and his grandchildren Darryl Malone (Brenda), Renee Malone, Jennifer Bennett (Billy), and Sam Hall, Jr. (Amanda). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Hall Laird.
