Mattapan Boston Shooting, 12-Year-Old Boy Dies After Daylight Shooting in Mattapan

Mattapan Boston Shooting –  On Thursday afternoon in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, a little kid, aged 12, was shot and killed, resulting in his death. The incident is currently being investigated by the Boston police department. According to statements made during a news conference held by municipal authorities, police officers who responded to a complaint of a shooting at 35 Fessenden Street shortly after 2:00 p.m. discovered a person suffering from what seemed to be a gunshot wound. The man, whose identity has not been revealed, ultimately passed away as a result of his injuries.

According to Kevin Hayden, the District Attorney for Suffolk County, there is now no threat to the safety of the general public. Hayden is correct in stating that the availability of firearms in the community constitutes a threat. “Unfortunately, we’re here on another sad and tragic afternoon that frankly stems from there being too many guns on the street,” Hayden said. “We’re here because of too many guns on the street.” This kind of tragic loss of life among the young is simply not acceptable. It’s terrible, and there are no words to describe it.

“These guns on the street cause damage,” stated Michael Cox, the Commissioner of the Boston Police Department. “It’s a horrible tragedy for the entire city whenever one of our young people is lost,” stated Mayor Michelle Wu of Boston. A child of this age passing away as a result of gun violence is a nightmare during the summertime, when our children should be enjoying themselves, having fun, playing, and maturing. According to the authorities, it was too soon in the inquiry to ascertain particulars of the occurrence in question.

The Homicide Division of the Boston Police Department requests that anybody who may have any information on the incident call them. This is a narrative that is still unfolding. Make sure to check back here for any new information as it becomes available.
