Michael Craig Obituary, Death – Michael Craig, you are such a remarkable example of what it is to be a good human being and a fantastic motivation for other people! Michael ‘Craiger’ Craig was a long-time scout for the Oshawa Generals, and the organization is saddened to relay the news of his passing. Early on Sunday morning, Michael’s courageous fight against an extremely rare form of colon cancer came to a tragic end.

Michael, or Craiger as he was known around the rinks, worked as a scout for the Generals’ organization in Eastern Ontario for more than 15 years. During that time, he scouted a number of players, including current General Matthew Buckley, Will Petschenig, Daniel Altshuller, Serron Noel, and William Ennis, to mention a few. Michael also participated in the team’s journey to the championship of the Memorial Cup in 2014–2015.

Michael has touched and enriched the lives of countless people during his career, both on and off the ice, by providing altruistic assistance and assistance to a large number of students, Special Olympic athletes, Ontario Hockey League players, and Minor Hockey players. He leaves behind his wife Melissa, the love of his life, and his two sons James and Jacob. The love and support of the whole Oshawa Generals organization goes out to all members of the Craig family, as well as to his pupils and the other players who had the pleasure of playing with him.
