Michael R. Walgurski Death, Obituary – Michael R. Walgurski, 56, of Pulaski, Wisconsin, passed away in a calm and serene manner on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Shawano Health Services in Shawano. At his side was his daughter, Katelyn. On December 6, 1966, in the city of Chicago, Illinois, Richard and Joan (Lesniak) Walgurski welcomed a son into the world.
Mike made the journey to Pulaski when he was a little child and graduated from Pulaski High School in the year 1985. After completing his education, he found employment as a paper machine operator at Georgia Pacific.
In addition to that, he was employed in the maintenance department at Pulaski High School, as a cabinet installer at Custom Laminating Specialists, and most recently, he was employed in the maintenance department of the Oconto Falls School District. When Mike was younger, he dominated the competition on the athletic field.
In addition to these activities, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with wood, and gardening. Above all else, he treasured the time he was able to spend with his children and his granddaughter, Wren.
Surviving family members include his mother, Joan Walgurski; his three children, Matthew Walgurski (Isabella De Cleene, Nathan Walgurski (Jessie), and their daughter, Wren; and Katelyn Walgurski (Maguire Girtz); the mother of their children, Colleen Walgurski; his three siblings, Dan Walgurski (Debi), Joe Walgurski, and Mary Ellen Freeman (Craig); and an uncle, Larry Wiese.
In addition, he is survived by his nieces and nephews, Lauren (Mac) Londo, Sidni Walgurski (Eli Kramer), Amy Walgurski, Amanda (Austin) Walgurski, Abby Walgurski, Caden Freeman (Caydance Rouleau), Alex Freeman, and Brady Freeman; in addition, he is survived by a number of cousins, other family members, and friends.
Mike’s mother, Mary Lesniak, his paternal grandparents, Walter and Katherine Walgurski, and his maternal grandparents, Albert and Mary Lesniak, as well as two aunts, Irene (Bill) Peelor and Lorraine Wiese, and an uncle, Walter (Marge) Lesniak, all passed away before Mike. Mike was named after his father, Richard.
On Thursday, July 20, at eleven in the morning, there will be a Graveside Service held for Mike in the Assumption B.V.M Cemetery in Pulaski. The amazing care that Mike received from Shawano Health Services and the Unity Hospice Team is something that the family would want to express their gratitude for.
