Raymond Bell Obituary, Death – Raymond E. Bell, who resided in Leavenworth and had reached the age of 84 when he passed away on July 2, 2023, passed away in his house in the presence of his family. On May 17, 1939, in the city of Leavenworth, Kansas, he was born to parents named John E. Bell and Marguerite (Gonterwitz) Bell. He was their son. His full name is John E. Bell Jr., although he goes by John E. Ray continued his education by attending Leavenworth High School, Chanute Junior College, and Kansas State University after completing primary school at St. Casimir’s.

On February 1, 1965, Ray became a member of the Leavenworth Fire Department. After working for the department for the subsequent 34 years, he was eventually promoted to the position of Battalion Chief.

who both live in Lawrence, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Logan Odom, Jared Odom, Blaise Bell, and Maggie Bell. On Sunday evening, July 9, 2023, from four to six o’clock, the doors of the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home will be open for visitors to pay their respects. The funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Francis de Sales Church on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10 a.m., and the service will commence at that time.
