Rolling Meadows Car Accident – A motorcyclist who was struck by an SUV on Thursday evening in Rolling Meadows and who subsequently succumbed to his injuries has been pronounced dead by the local authorities A accident that was reported to have occurred at around 7:30 p.m. close to the intersection of Algonquin Road and Carriage Way Drive was confirmed to have occurred by municipal officials.
Because the police needed time to contact the victim’s next of kin, the identity of the victim was not immediately made public when the tragedy occurred. Nobody could say for certain how many people were inside the SUV or whether or not any of them were harmed. Neither of these details could be determined The officials claim that the victim was riding in close proximity to another motorcyclist at the time of the collision; however, the other rider walked away unscathed from the incident.
Officers from the police department cordoned down Algonquin Road and placed yellow tape at the crossing in preparation for the accident investigation and rebuilding, both of which were expected to take a significant amount of time. The wrecked motorcycle and the SUV, a GMC with extensive front-end damage, were both found on the same side of the road on the southbound side of the carriageway, directly across from the entrance to the Carriage Way Court condominium complex. The motorbike was considered a total loss and had to be written off. The statement made by the police department was that they will publish a press release with further details soon.
