Steve Barnett Obituary, Death – I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to lend a hand when you required it. I will be eternally thankful that we were able to meet and that you choose to become a part of our family. I am grateful that you have placed your faith in me to run your family business. You must have placed a high value on it. You put an incredible amount of pride in the job that you did.
You were cherished by a large number of people, and for many years to come, you will be remembered not just in Macon County but also beyond its borders. Iconic status was formerly held by Steve Barnett in Decatur. Such a great, kind, sincere dude. Hard worker. Passionate. Loyal. Patriotic. Steve has a deep love for his family. cherished the St. Louis Cardinals. Especially enjoyed his beer route. He cherished his friendships. He was taken too soon. He will never be forgotten.
Love ya Barney! I’ll try my best to make you proud. GO CARDINALS! That was really considerate and caring of you, he would adore it, and probably cry, because his heart was so big and loving. Especially the people who knew and loved him will be saddened by his passing away. Uncle Barney was truly loved by all of us in the family. R.I.P., Stevie. Please give my regards to your aunt DJ and your uncle Ray. I have no doubt that your parents and all of their friends will soon have you playing bridge in no time at all.
Zeke Bartoski ,Packers QB was a major deal Barney threw a touchdown pass during our sophomore year of football, and Mr. Rutz placed Zeke Barnett in the Herald and Review back when they truly covered all DPS sports. After that, Barney went by Zeke for a considerable amount of time. After that, I believe it was against Mattoon, who was a wonderful person throughout, and I had no idea he was ill.
