Susan Marie Rider Death, Obituary – Please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of Susan Marie Rider, who was a resident of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. She was a beloved family member and friend. She lived to be 77 years old before passing away peacefully in the comfort of her beach house, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a long and happy life.
She is survived by her three children: her daughter Kathy Bernard of Kill Devil Hills, her daughter Debra Rider and her husband Raymond Blehar of Annapolis, Maryland, and her son Benjamin “Bingo” Rider of Kill Devil Hills; her grandchildren Matthew Bernard and his wife Emily, Chris and Alex Bernard, Justin, Jordy, and Maya Rider; and four great grandchildren Jessie, Grayson, Noah, and Zac Bernard.
She is also survived by her son Benjamin “Bingo” Rider of Kill Devil Hills. Benjamin “Bingo” Rider, who resides in Kill Devil Hills, is one of the people who will carry on her legacy. One of the people who carry on her lineage is her sister, Janet Sissell, who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. A significant number of her nieces and nephews are also among those who carry on her family name.
Her children will show respect for her desires and pay tribute to her memory by holding a private memorial service at their mother’s home for members of their immediate family. Those who desire to express their sympathies are asked to refrain from sending flowers and instead think about making a donation to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of sending flowers.
