Thomas Peck Obituary, Clinton Twp., NJ Has Sadly Passed Away

Thomas Peck Obituary, Funeral Notice – Thomas Rudolph Peck, age 44, a lifelong resident of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. He was born on April 10, 1979, in Somerville, NJ, and was the beloved son of Spencer and Elizabeth Renart Peck.

Tommy, as he was affectionately known, had a passion for the environment and dedicated his career as an Environmental Field Biologist. He graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ, and furthered his education at Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ. Tommy went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.

In his personal life, Tommy enjoyed various hobbies that allowed him to connect with nature. He had a deep love for fishing and gardening, finding solace and joy in these activities. Additionally, he had a talent for drumming and was a member of a local band called ‘Slim Pickins.’ Tommy’s love for animals was evident, particularly in his affection for his dog, Scout.

Those who knew Tommy will always remember him as a loving, gentle, kind, and humorous man. His warm personality and infectious laughter brought joy to the lives of those around him. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

Tommy is survived by his loving parents, Spencer and Elizabeth, and his five siblings: Christopher Peck of Califon, NJ; Matthew Peck and his wife Tracey of Suwanee, GA; Mark Peck of Union Township, NJ; Jonathan Peck and his wife Pamela of Clinton, NJ; and Margaret ‘Missy’ Peck of Woodstock, United Kingdom. He also leaves behind ten adored nieces and nephews: Hunter and his wife Meghan, Aidan, Gillianne, Grace, Spencer, William, Jonathan, Robert, Genevieve, and Linnea. Tommy was cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Marie Kopecky, as well as his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Renart.

Family and friends will gather to pay their respects during the calling hours on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 4-8pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, located at 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, situated at 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Following the Mass, Tommy will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.

The loss of Tommy is a profound one, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
